I could not get on the internet yesterday at all. So I tested everything and the laptop gets online. By process of elimination, it must be the modem has blown up.

I went to SAMs Club and found a new modem that hooks up through a port and it was only about $30. It plugs into the front of the PC and worked right away. So that’s fixed.

Right now I am happy with what I have started with, but I will check into it and research it a bit before jumping right in.

I have some friends that I can ask some questions regarding WordPress and I’m sure that I’ll find the topic being discussed in many blogs that I can google to. But I’m staying put for now and going to tend to more urgent matters such as some hardcore holiday partying and enjoying the festivities that are in full swing now that Christmas is only a few day away.
