I hate the cold weather. The people who live in the northern states must be out of their minds to willingly live in a colder climate. Even down here in the South it has been freezing and below. We have had snow and freezing rain all week. Bleh.

Tonight I am staying in and fixing big pot of chili. Going to make enough to last for several days. I can jazz it up every day with different things like cheese, chopped onions, sour cream and different breads on the side , like cornbread, frybread and sourdough.

IT’s been a while since I went grocery shopping in a big store. Usually I just stop by the food Lion close to my house. I like the Food Lion because they have most of what I need and it is pretty quick to get in and find what I want, pay for it without a big line and get home. But sometimes I want a few things that Food Lion doesn’t carry, so I went to the new Publix about 15 minutes farther from my house. It is huge and I found what I wanted. But dang! There were 4 people in line in front of me and it took 20 minutes just to check out. That’s crazy!

For months I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast. It’s fast and easy and good for you. But it gets boring after a while.

I need s different breakfast plan for the summer months. Got any suggestions?
